We're looking for someone with a technical background in engineering, chemistry, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience in water treatment, environmental legislation, or water-related studies. A master's degree is not a requirement: what you can do and what you've already achieved matter at least as much to us. Most importantly, you're motivated to make a positive impact on the world and eager to take ownership in making that happen.

🎯 Your Mission

Your exact role will be shaped together. Water Experts is growing, and we're looking to strengthen our technical expertise. Perhaps you'll dive deep into wastewater and process water treatment. Perhaps you'll support clients as an environmental coordinator, helping them navigate complex environmental legislation. Or perhaps you'll become our go-to expert for legionella management and groundwater studies.

What is certain: you'll be given responsibility, work directly on meaningful water challenges, and help build the future of Water Experts.

💧 What You'll Do

• Lead consulting projects for new and existing clients, from initial analysis through to final delivery.

• Develop technical studies, calculations, and designs for water audits, wastewater and process water treatment, water reuse, legionella management, groundwater studies, and future-proof water management plans.

• Analyse complex water-related challenges, assess the technical and economic impact of potential solutions, and translate findings into clear recommendations and high-quality reports.

• Support clients in an open and professional way while building long-term relationships.

• Stay up to date with developments in technology, legislation, and best practices within the water sector, and actively share that knowledge with colleagues.

• Depending on your strengths, take on responsibilities related to environmental coordination, legislation and permitting, legionella management, groundwater projects, or another area of expertise that strengthens our team.

🧩 What Expertise Do You Bring?

Our team combines a variety of technical backgrounds. These are the areas where we're currently looking to strengthen our expertise:

• Water & Technology: Practical experience with wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), process water, industrial process installations, commissioning, or engineering design.

• Environment & Regulations: Experience as an Environmental Coordinator (Type A or B), permitting, discharge conditions, and environmental legislation.

• Legionella & Water Safety: Legionella studies, management plans, risk assessments, and follow-up for industrial and institutional clients.

• Groundwater: Groundwater studies, extraction, monitoring, and related permitting processes.

• You have a technical background in engineering or chemistry and relevant practical experience that can strengthen Water Experts.

• You can independently take ownership of studies, clients, or a specialist domain, while also enjoying teamwork.

• You're analytical, curious, and pragmatic, and you remain calm when facing complex challenges.

• You communicate fluently in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

• You're eager to share knowledge while continuously developing your own expertise, including expanding your water-related knowledge with us.

• You're willing to develop further into a true Water Expert and contribute to setting up and delivering consultancy projects together with colleagues.

• You're not looking to simply fill a position, but to help build a growing team.

An educational background in engineering or chemistry is our starting point, but a master's degree is not required. Relevant practical experience carries as much weight as your exact field of study or diploma.
